Samsung android file transfer windows 7 drivers#
I was able to access the images on my PC following the instructions from DK511 in this post:ġ) In a Windows 7 or newer PC, open Control Panel and set it to "View by: Large Icons"ģ) Plug your Phone into a USB port and ensure screen is unlocked and you have granted access to the PC to view your phoneĤ) In Device Manager, go to Portable Devices and ensure that your phone should now be listed beneath itĥ) Right-click on your phone's name below Portable Devices and select "Update Driver"Ħ) Click on "Browse my computer for drivers"ħ) On the next screen, click on "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer" In addition, Samsung Smart Switch on PC would fail if tasked with backing up images.

All folders showed as empty (not just DCIM). I experienced the same issue - also with just recently passing 10,000 images in the DCIM/Camera folder. It's also possible that the 10,000 threshold was recently passed and the software updates are unrelated.

I don't know whether this is determined by some type of setting (including one that happened in a recent update). Images are stored under the DCIM folder, and traditionally cameras and other electronics have shown the same "empty folder" issue when a given threshold of images has been surpassed on a DCIM folder. The issue is probably because of having 10,000 or more images.
